Ingrid Barrentine

INGRID BARRENTINE is a wife, mother to a little girl named Rosie, coffee addict (and quite possibly snob), lover of the outdoors, traveler, and a photographer. Before launching Grit City Photography in 2011, Ingrid worked as a photojournalist at the Northwest Guardian on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. She also spent time in eastern Washington at the Spokesman-Review and interned at her hometown newspaper, the Yakima Herald-Republic. Ingrid believes in the power of a single image and works hard to look for and capture moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Sara Gettys

SARA GETTYS is a photojournalist and artist who also loves going to estate sales, reading books, building stuff, cooking and petting cats. She’s been a photojournalist for the Yakima Herald-Republic for 7 years and earned her MA in journalism from the University of Missouri. When Sara’s not working as a photographer, she creates beautiful art – some of which you can see here. Sara and Ingrid work together on all weddings.

One thought on “WHO WE ARE

  1. Our photo shoot with Ingrid for my daughter’s senior picture was great!! Ingrid took us to several Tacoma locations that were exactly the backgrounds that my daughter had in mind. Ingrid has an artistic eye that captured my daughter’s different moods and interests. We have a wonderful memory of our day with Ingrid as she is personable, patient, and insightful. Our pictures are beautiful and a wonderful keepsake of my daughter’s high school years.
    Thank you, Ingrid!!
